Conservative candidate conclave
The Sun City Conservatives will host a town hall meeting for citizens to interact with conservative candidates.
An e-mail from the group says U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian, Assemblyman John Hambrick, R-Las Vegas and congressional candidate Joe Heck will be among those attending.
Expect a heaping helping of conservative red meat, if the statement from organizer Joseph Tatner is any indication.
"Many Republicans watched their elected leaders waffle and abandon the principles they were elected to stand for," Tatner said. "America sent a clear message in 2008, but with the numerous bailouts, uncontrolled spending and government takeovers of private business, people are willing to give the Republicans another try – assuming they actually stand firm on their values this time around."
The event is from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Summerlin Library, 1771 Inner Circle Drive, Las Vegas.
