Country in the Park at Mountain’s Edge

Get ready to kick up your heels and don your cowboy hat for the eighth annual Country in the Park at Exploration Park at Mountain’s Edge. The free outdoor concert and festival is 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 10, and presented by Mountain’s Edge and New Country 95.5 The Bull.

“American Idol” Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery headlines the event, with Danielle Bradbery, “The Voice” Season 4 winner, opening for him. Country in the Park also features a beer garden, food vendors, booths and exhibits.

“The Bull is very excited to sponsor Country in the Park again. It’s a wonderful event and environment for our listeners, families and the entire community to enjoy great music in such a beautiful outdoor venue as Exploration Park,” said JoJo Turnbeaugh, program director for the radio station. “Country music fans in particular will get to see the immense talent in person that led to Scotty McCreery winning ‘American Idol’ and Danielle Bradbery winning ‘The Voice.’ ”

In two years, McCreery has become one of country music’s hottest new stars, with album sales topping 1.6 million, including a platinum-selling debut album that made Billboard history and helped him win several new artist awards. He will perform songs from his debut album, “Clear as Day,” and his new album, “See You Tonight.” McCreery’s hits include “I Love You This Big” and “The Trouble With Girls,” along with the title track off his new album.

Bradbery, the 17-year-old singing sensation, was the youngest contestant win “The Voice.” With her self-titled debut album, “Danielle Bradbery,” she is touring with Hunter Hayes and Dan + Shay on the “We’re Not Invisible” tour.

In addition, The Tony Marques Band will perform. Marques and his band mates have been part of the steady rotation at Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar and Grill” at Harrah’s and Margaritaville Restaurant and Bar at the Flamingo Hotel.

Festival attendees can tour the master-planned community. Richmond American Home’s Sutter Hills is selling the largest new homes in Mountain’s Edge. They’re up to 3,800 square feet and priced from the mid-$300,000s. Move-in homes are available and come with maple cabinets, granite kitchen countertops, ceramic tile flooring and other amenities.

Located in southwest Las Vegas, the 3,500-acre Mountain’s Edge was developed by Focus Property Group. It has consistently ranked among the country’s top 10 – now at No. 4 – best-selling master-planned communities by leading independent real estate advisory firms.

These include the new 20-acre Nathaniel Jones Park and the 80-acre Exploration Park with a western theme village, water play area, picnic areas, amphitheater, playgrounds and the 2,846-foot-tall Exploration Peak.

Additionally, construction has started on the first phase of the Mountain’s Edge Regional Park.
