Couple choose home at Glengarry
October 13, 2007 - 9:00 pm
David Garama designed homes and apartments, restaurants and retail buildings in his native Israel. So, he said when he walked through the St. Andrew model at Glengarry with his wife, Tamar, he was immediately pleased by his surroundings.
"Tamar and I were both excited by what we saw. This is a great design. Everything is where it should be. This is how I would have designed it," he said. "We sensed the difference, not only in the design, but in the structure. The home just feels more substantial."
Tamar Garama said she is delighted with the master suite design.
"The bathroom includes a wonderful sit-down vanity, which I love. The oval bathtub has windows on two sides. The shower has a clear glass enclosure so you see through to the tub and the windows. There is such an open feeling," she said.
The master bedroom also features a walk-in wardrobe and a private balcony.
"From day one we were incredibly excited by the home's beautiful design," David Garama said. "Then when we sat down and actually calculated the costs of the items that Lennar includes in the home's price we were amazed. The home is ready to live in. All you really need to bring are your clothes." The couple said the savings were real and tangible for them. Lennar provides upgraded stainless-steel appliances with a five-burner gas range, refrigerator with an ice maker, granite kitchen countertops, under-mount stainless-steel sink, washer, dryer and full window coverings.
"And Lennar picked exactly the appliances and upgrades we would have selected," Tamar Garama said. "How do you calculate the value of the time saved? It's an incredible package and an incredible way to build a home. As David said, it's like walking into a home that is ready to be lived in. They even provide you with a huge basketful of cleaning supplies on moving day. There is nothing you need to buy."
The neighborhood borders the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. The area's 48,438 acres of lowland dry lake beds and volcanic rock peaks reaching more than 5,000 feet. The centerpiece is the Sloan Canyon Petroglyph Site. Archeologists believe the more than 300 rock art panels with 1,700 individual design elements were created by native cultures from the Archaic to Historic era.
