Couple chooses Fox Hollow home

Lennar's Fox Hollow neighborhood in North Las Vegas offers single- and two-story models priced in the $200,000s. Quick move-in homes are available, according to the builder.

Homes at Fox Hollow have floor plans ranging from 1,646 to 2,695 square feet, providing up to four bedrooms and as many as three baths. Prices range from the lower to upper $200,000s.

Jennifer and Aaron Bush, parents of a 6-month-old boy named Alex, recently became homeowners at Fox Hollow, using Lennar's Live Chat Web site feature to ease the selection process.

"We were a little hesitant and nervous about the process because of how long we thought it would take and how much money we would have to pay up front," Aaron Bush said. "Initially, we used the live chat feature on Lennar.com and had a conversation with Jamiel Rashdan (Lennar Internet new home consultant) and he steered us in the right direction. He showed us the floor plans we would be interested in, and even though we were running low on time because of a family trip for the holidays, we felt so confident with the deal we were offered we couldn't pass up the opportunity."

The Bush family considered other builders and other neighborhoods, but eventually decided on Fox Hollow, Aaron Bush said.

"We chose the Colorado floor plan," he said. "After looking at Lennar, we shopped about a dozen other homes, but mentally we kept coming back to this one. We didn't think we were going to get the home in time for Christmas, but we did. We started moving all of our major furniture in on New Year's Eve, and woke up in our brand-new home on New Year's Day."

Features at Fox Hollow include stainless-steel appliances such as over-the-range microwave, gas range, dishwasher and refrigerator with icemaker. Kitchens also include granite countertops and raised-panel oak cabinetry with upper crown molding. Full window coverings and an upgraded washer and dryer are also standard amenities.

At Lennar neighborhoods, the builder provides buyers with upgrades at no additional cost in keeping with its "Everything you want. Everything you need" policy.

Jennifer Bush said it was appealing floor plans at Fox Hollow that factored heavily in their decision to buy there.

"My first impression, and I think the one that made us keep coming back to Fox Hollow, was the layout," she said. "Other floor plans we looked at just didn't feel livable to us, and I think after seeing other homes that weren't as in tune with our lifestyle made us agree that Fox Hollow was the place we wanted to be."

The Fox Hollow neighborhood has a landscaped and gated entrance and a 3-acre residents' park with grassy areas, walking paths, two gazebos, barbecues, picnic tables and a children's playground.

Founded more than 50 years ago, Lennar has grown into one of the nation's leading home builders. With hundreds of neighborhoods nationwide, Lennar offers a selection of homes geared toward first-time, move-up and luxury-residence buyers.
