Couple chooses Laguna four-bedroom home

Kathy and Jim Arvizu selected a residence at Lennar's Diamond Point neighborhood in North Las Vegas.

Kathy Arvizu spotted the signs while she and her husband were living with their daughter SteVee in a home not far from Diamond Point.

"It was just three blocks from our home, and I had a few extra minutes," Kathy Arvizu said. "So I thought I would at least check it out."

Upon visiting Diamond Point, the Arvizus were impressed and they wound up buying. The couple chose the Laguna, a 2,201-square-foot home containing four bedrooms, two baths and a three-car garage. A washer, dryer and refrigerator are included in the price, which starts at $384,990.

The Arvizus' daughter and her children remained in their own home when Jim and Kathy Arvizu moved to Diamond Point.

The Laguna floor plan includes a formal dining room and living room. A gallery walk extends from the foyer adjacent to the formal areas and leads to the great room.

The great room is open to the home's kitchen and breakfast nook, and it features a raised-hearth fireplace, media niche and additional niches for art, plants or an added wet bar.

Among the suite's amenities are two with dual sinks, an oval garden tub and double-sized walk-in wardrobe.

Diamond Point offers yards measuring 6,000 to 10,000 square feet. Single- and two-story floor plans measuring from 1,912 to more than 3,100 square feet are available. Prices start from the $300,000s.

Standard features at the community include a fireplace, stainless-steel kitchen appliances, a side-by-side refrigerator with ice dispenser, and built-in dishwasher. Also featured are elegant granite countertops and raised-panel upper cabinets. Diamond Point is also an Energy Star-certified community.

To visit the sales center at Ann Road and North 5th Street, take Interstate 15 and exit west on Craig Road, go north to Ann Road and turn right.

Models are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when they close at 3 p.m.
