Couple chooses Solera upon return to valley
July 15, 2007 - 9:00 pm
Michael and Sylvia Buckman lived in Henderson five years ago before returning to their native Michigan. This year they came back to the Las Vegas Valley, moving into a home at Del Webb's Solera at Anthem.
"We started out looking at condos," Sylvia Buckman said. "We owned a house the first time we lived in Nevada, but we sold it. When we went back to Michigan, we just were not happy there, so we decided to come back to Las Vegas. We thought realistically the only way we could afford to move back was to get a condo, but every one we looked at made us wonder where we would fit our furniture."
The Buckmans contacted a Realtor, who informed them that in the price range they had in mind, they could afford a home in Solera at Anthem.
They selected the new Lewis design with two bedrooms and two baths in 1,140 square feet.
"When we went out to the community, the Lewis was the first model we looked at and once we saw it, we didn't even need to look at the rest," she said. "We loved the home that much."
Five floor plans range from 1,140 to 1,771 square feet. Prices start from the mid-$200,000s.
Each home at Solera at Anthem is constructed with Environments for Living building technology.
To visit, take Interstate 215, Las Vegas Beltway, to Eastern Avenue, go south, past St. Rose Parkway, to Anthem Parkway and turn left. Proceed on Anthem past the fire station, turn left on Somersworth Drive and follow the signs to the model complex.
