Couple selects Ladera Terrace home in Summerlin for growing family

When Gary and Amber Cooper learned they'd be moving back to Las Vegas after spending time in California, the couple said they knew the home they'd buy upon their return would be in Summerlin.

They purchased a residence at Engle Homes' Ladera Terrace in Summerlin's Mesa Village.

"We loved Summerlin when we lived here before, and now that we have children that are getting older, moving back here makes perfect sense for us," said Gary Cooper, an executive for Gucci.

"We looked at a lot of homes in the community, and the excellent floor plans and designs offered by Engle Homes at Ladera Terrace really appealed to us," he said.

The Coopers lived in an apartment for a few months prior to purchasing their new home.

They said living there was a small sacrifice to make in exchange for having enough time to shop around and make the right home-buying decision.

"It has been difficult living with a good amount of our things still in storage, but we knew that our next home would be one that we'd live in for a long time, so we decided to take our time during the search," Amber Cooper said.

Throughout September, Engle Homes is providing 30-year fixed loans with an interest rate (APR) of 5.875 percent and incentives worth up to $100,000 on their homes throughout the Las Vegas Valley, according to Engle officials.

The Coopers said they liked the neighborhood's parks and recreational options located within the master plan, as well as the fact that a new elementary school is slated to be built close to their home.

"Everything really came together well for us in buying this new house, and we appreciated the help of people like Mya Daniel, our sales associate," Gary Cooper said.

"Now that we have our keys, we're looking forward to getting everything out of storage and enjoying life again here in Summerlin."

With two golf courses and mountains on its border, Engle Homes' Ladera Terrace offers two-story courtyard homes with architectural detail and three floor plans starting in the $300,000s.
