Couple selects Verona at Bella Lago

Machelle and Alfredo Fernandez said they were planning to buy another home when they discovered Richmond American's Bella Lago neighborhood near Southern Highlands in the southwestern valley.

"We had selected a home from a different builder, but there were a few things we were dissatisfied with," Machelle Fernandez said. "We asked our Realtor who else we could compare prices and product with, and he recommended Richmond American, so we decided to take a look."

The couple said that in Bella Lago they found the floor plan, pricing, location and move-in time frame they were seeking.

"We thought the Southern Highlands area might be too expensive, but our Realtor suggested we stop by," Alfredo Fernandez said. "The curb appeal was so enticing. And we loved the neighborhood's easy access to the freeway for trips to California, where we're from."

Richmond American's Bella Lago neighborhood is located just outside Southern Highlands, where residents can enjoy walking trails, parks and playgrounds, shopping and other conveniences.

The couple chose the Verona, a three-story home with three bedrooms and 21/2 baths in about 2,850 square feet. The lower level features separate living and dining rooms, a kitchen overlooking the family room and a two-car garage. Upstairs, the master suite can be expanded to include a master retreat, and the loft can be converted to a fourth bedroom. A third-level attic loft can be converted into a bedroom suite.

The Fernandezes selected a quick move-in home and closed their purchase in about a week, they said.

Priced from the $350,000s, the Verona is one of three floor plans from Richmond American's Altezza Collection at Bella Lago. Also available is the Tuscana design, priced from the $340,000s, with three to five bedrooms and 21/2 to 31/2 baths in about 2,700 square feet.

The Cassandra is the largest floor plan, offering four to seven bedrooms and 21/2 to four baths in about 3,000 square feet. Priced from the $360,000s, the Cassandra design offers a first-floor study and second-level library.
