Coyote Springs Stirs To Life

Clockwise from top, workers finish the concrete foundation of the 32,000-square-foot clubhouse at Coyote Springs, the master-planned town taking shape about 50 miles north of Las Vegas. A few street signs have been posted, but none of the roads are paved, making the development inaccessible to the public for now. A golf course is almost complete, bringing a splash of color to the desert. Pardee Homes, the town's master residential developer, plans to open its first model homes in September 2008. The projected population in 40 to 50 years is more than 160,000.
