Desert Crest residents value park, private pool

As the summer draws near, residents of Pulte Homes' Desert Crest neighborhood in the southwestern valley can be seen enjoying the use of their private swimming pool and park area, according to Katie Tickner, a resident of Desert Crest and marketing manager for Pulte Homes of Nevada.

"As soon as temperatures reach the 80s, Desert Crest really comes alive," Tickner said. "Each day when I come home, I see so many neighbors spending time in and around the swimming pool, or just relaxing in the park while watching their kids play in the tot lot."

Located amid several master-planned communities, Desert Crest is a gated neighborhood designed to offer on-site amenities and easy home maintenance.

Three two-story floor plans are available, ranging from 1,480 to 2,191 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and 21/2 baths. All homes come with a rear yard and a two-car garage and most are arranged along cul-de-sacs. Prices start from the high $180,000s.

Tickner said the Desert Crest Homeowners Association maintains all front yards, in addition to common areas, giving residents more time to enjoy the community's recreational amenities.

To visit, take the southern portion of Intestate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Durango Drive, go south to Pebble Road, head west to Salvatore Street and turn left, then left again on Carradori Avenue. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Wednesday when it opens at noon.
