Development continues in Summerlin’s The Mesa
With more than 20 home floor plans from 1,642 to 2,883 square feet, Summerlin's newest and most southern village developed to date, The Mesa, is selling within Ladera, the village's first neighborhood.
Home builders include Engle Homes, KB Home and Richmond American Homes.
Ladera Terrace by Engle Homes features two-story designs from 2,031 to 2,574 square feet, priced from the upper $300,000s.
Ladera Crest by KB Home offers two-story homes ranging from 2,388 to 2,883 square feet.
The homes are priced from the mid-$300,000s.
Ladera Ridge, also by KB Home, features two-story homes from 1,642 to 2,103 square feet, priced from the upper $200,000s.
Richmond American Homes' Ladera Canyon features single- and two-story homes measuring from 1,750 to 2,800 square feet.
The homes are priced from the upper $300,000s.
"Ladera is well on its way to becoming one of Summerlin's most attractive and architecturally diverse neighborhoods," said Julie Cleaver, director of design and planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties, and developer of Summerlin.
"Its homes have multiple architectural variations and paint color schemes. And several homes feature a variety of building materials, such as stone or brick veneer and wood slats, which further enhance the neighborhood's curb appeal."
Upon completion, Ladera will encompass more than 600 homes and two neighborhood parks, in addition to a private neighborhood pool area, open lawn areas, seating ramadas and children's play areas.
To date, more than 200 homes have sold in Ladera.
Located off Town Center Drive, south of Tropicana Avenue, The Mesa is a nearly 500-acre, desert contemporary residential village at the base of the Spring Mountains. Streets are lined with desert-appropriate trees and flowering bushes.
A 19-acre community park is under construction and will include tennis courts, three Little League baseball fields -- one with stadium-style seating, a basketball court, tot lot, large open/play area and covered picnic ramadas.
Another development currently under way in The Mesa Village is Summerlin's newest private school, Bishop Gorman High School.
Its 187,000-square-foot campus will feature a 300-seat chapel, state-of-the-art technology and research library, art facilities, performing arts theater and athletic facilities suitable for both school and community use. The school is scheduled to open for the 2007-2008 school year.
Summerlin is a 22,500-acre master-planned community along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley.
The community features a number of amenities and is home to more than 95,000 residents.
With 7,500 acres still to develop, including its urban core, Summerlin Centre, the community is home to more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, 19 public and private schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks and more than 60 model homes.
