ARK Vegas is offering active, reserve, honorably discharged and retired members of the military a 20 percent
discount on all purchases at its Las Vegas restaurants Saturday, May 23, through Monday, May 25. The discount is good for the military representative and one guest, and valid military ID or other proof of service such as a V.A. card, VFW card, veteran’s ID or discharge papers must be provided. ARK’s local restaurants are America 24-Hour Restaurant, Gallagher’s Steakhouse, Gonzalez Y Gonzalez Mexican Restaurant, Broadway Burger, Times Square to Go, Greenwich Coffee, Fulton’s Fish Fry, Greenberg’s Deli, Ben & Jerry Ice Cream, East Side Wings, Jody Maroni’s, Sirroco’s Pizza and room service at New York-New York, 3790 Las Vegas Blvd. South; Yolos Mexican Grill at Planet Hollywood, 3667 Las Vegas Blvd. South; and V Bar, Rialto Deli, Towers Deli and Shake N Burger at The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
To celebrate its soft-serve ice-cream options, Baskin-Robbins is offering 88 cent vanilla soft-serve cones through Monday, May 25.
Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza, which has multiple locations in Southern Nevada, is planning Sammy’s Night charity events June 21-24, with 20 percent of sales donated to the designated organization each day with presentation of a Sammy’s Night flier. The charities are the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society June 21, Three Square Food Bank June 22, the Southern Nevada affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure June 23 and the Public Education Foundation June 24. Fliers are available from the participating groups or on the Sammy’s Web site, www.sammyspizza.com.
Freed’s Bakery is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a contest in which participants are asked to submit photos capturing their favorite Freed’s memories. Categories include best overall, oldest, funniest, most Las Vegas, biggest group, best wedding cake, best birthday cake, best anniversary, best baby shower, best bachelor, best bachelorette, best children’s birthday, best pet and best chronological series of photos. The top two winners will receive a Freed’s cake on their birthday for life. All winning photographs will be published on the bakery’s Web site. Entries will be accepted through Oct. 10.
