DINING: Denny’s introduces breakfast to go
Breakfast generally is considered the most important meal of the day, but it tends to be the most neglected. Our time-pressed lifestyles
are in large part responsible for our crummy eating habits in this country, and with mornings particularly rushed, breakfast frequently is an afterthought, caught on the run -- if at all.
The Denny's chain is trying to make itself the good-breakfast solution, and in a big way. Denny's has introduced a two-level to-go package that resembles nothing so much as a spaceship. The black bottom level is divided -- for keeping your pancakes separate from your eggs, for example -- the upper level is a sort of a platter and the clear top has a high dome with holes for letting the steam out and keeping your breakfast from turning into a soggy mess. It's a well-designed unit that seals tightly and has hand-holds for easy access to the various components.
Among the items on Denny's B-FST 2GO menu are its various Slams and Scrambles plus country-fried steak and eggs, Moons Over My Hammy and more.
