DINING: Free cones at Ben & Jerry’s

  Tuesday (March 23) is free cone day at Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops at The District at Green Valley Ranch, the Galleria at Sunset mall and Sunset Station, all in Henderson. All small cones are free with no purchase necessary. Those receiving the free cones will, however, be invited to donate to designated charities, which are St. Jude’s Ranch for Children at The District, Lied Discovery Children’s Museum at the Galleria and Nevada Community Learning Centers (formerly Classroom on Wheels) at Sunset Station.
  Celebrity scoopers also have been announced. The schedule for The District is Nathan Burton and Howard Lefkowitz, president of Vegas.com, at 11:30 a.m.; Vinnie Favorito at 12:30 p.m.; Thom Sesma, who plays Scar in Disney’s “The Lion King," at 2 p.m.; Human Nature at 2:30 p.m.; members of Thunder from Down Under at 4 p.m.; Angelica Bridges and the Ladies of Fantasy at 4:45 p.m.; and Harry Shahoian, who is Elvis in “Legends in Concert,” at 6 p.m.
  The mall will feature interactive learning displays courtesy of Lied Discovery Children’s Museum from noon to 1 p.m., NASCAR’s Taylor Barton at 1 p.m. and the “X Burlesque” X Girls at 3 p.m.
  The Sunset Station schedule includes local acoustic rocker Shawn Eiferman at noon, comedian Todd Paul at 2:30 p.m. and cast members from the men of “X Burlesque” at 4 p.m.
