  Chipotle Mexican Grill will host a benefit from 5 to 7 tonight (May 7) to celebrate the opening of its 11th area
location, at 2540 S. Decatur Blvd. in the Sahara Pavilion shopping center. For a $5 donation to the Caring 4 Kids Foundation, guests can order one item, including burritos, burrito bowls, tacos or salads. Las Vegas Kings players are scheduled to attend to sign autographs.
  This Sunday (May 10) and every Sunday in May, Barley's Casino & Brewing Company, 4500 E. Sunset Road in Henderson, will host Bar-B-Q Blues from 4 to 8 p.m. The event includes live blues music and all-you-can-eat smoked brisket and ribs, chicken, burgers, kielbasa, corn on the cob, side dishes, all-you-can-drink soft drinks and two draft beers for $11.99.
  Envy the Steakhouse at the Renaissance Las Vegas, 3400 Paradise Road, will celebrate National Eat What You Want Day on Monday (May 11) by introducing four featured dessert and wine pairings for $35. The desserts include a creme-custard tasting, Meyer lemon mousse with fresh berries, Chocolate S'more Cake and pineapple-and-ginger upside-down cake.
   And the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension will hold a workshop on growing asparagus for home production or small-scale commercial production from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday (May 13) at the extension's Lifelong Learning Center, 8050 Paradise Road. Bob Morris, who will present the workshop on planting green, purple and white asparagus from crowns and seed, said the extension's orchard in North Las Vegas has been growing a dozen varieties of asparagus for several years.
