Once you discover Chinese food, there really isn't anything like it. Its many subtle flavors and textures make it a beloved cuisine, and China Ginger is beloved for entrees that amplify the joys of Chinese dining. Several chef's recommendations are pineapple chicken, ginger fish, Peking chicken, sizzling seafood, sautéed scallops with XO sauce, Hong Kong-style noodles and orange peel beef. Other entrees include beef pepper steak, Szechwan pork, sesame chicken, lemon fish, Cantonese lobster, Peking duck, teriyaki chicken, beef asparagus and Kung Pao shrimp. Among the vegetarian dishes are hot braised tofu, baby bok choy, Buddha's Delight and black mushrooms. There are noodles (lo mein, Singapore, chow fun), salads, egg foo yong and soups such as egg drop, sizzling, hot and sour, and corn. Popular appetizers are Shanghai spare ribs, vegetarian lettuce wraps, Southern China pancakes and salt and pepper calamari. Enjoy sesame fried bananas for dessert. Lunch specials are served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Chef's recommendations begin at $8.50., and a children's menu is $3.25. China Ginger is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. -- Jack Bulavsky
