What is a juke joint? It’s the vernacular term for an informal establishment featuring music, gambling, food and drinking. And that’s what Juke Joint Bar & Grill is all about, especially the part about food, starting with appetizers such as Juke wings, chili cheese fries, chili, nachos and soup of the day. Featured entrees are New York steak, spaghetti, chicken fried steak and pork chop platter. Among the sandwiches are grilled ham and cheese, French dip, Philly cheesesteak, turkey club, BLT, barbecue pork and beef or turkey melt. Breakfast is served throughout the day, featuring chicken fried steak with sausage gravy and two eggs, assorted omelets, biscuits and gravy, and the breakfast sandwich made with two slices of grilled bread with cheese, eggs and choice of ham or bacon. Salads include chef, taco, Cobb and blackened chicken with choice of dressing: ranch, blue cheese, Thousand Island or Italian. All hamburgers are served on a toasted bun with tomato, lettuce, onions and pickles and choice of sides, such as fries, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, Tater Tots and rice and gravy. Entrees start at $6.99, and sandwiches begin at $5.99. Juke Joint is open from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 24 hours Thursday through Saturday. — Jack Bulavsky
