Dining Pick of the Week: Lumberjacks
PICK OF THE WEEK:
LUMBERJACKS
955 W. Craig Road at North Martin Luther King Boulevard, 702-487-5007
It’s fun to eat where the big boys eat, and the big boys eat at Lumberjacks. That’s because large portions are served throughout the day in the faux log building that caters to hungry diners. Dinner entrees include hickory-smoked baby back ribs, pot roast, sautéed liver and onions, roast turkey with cornbread stuffing and 12-ounce ribeye with mushrooms, onions and roasted garlic. Prime rib is the house specialty on Friday and Saturday after 4 p.m. The 1-pound Redwood Burger has Swiss and American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and special dressing. It is served with choice of fries, fruit, potato salad, coleslaw or cottage cheese. Other hamburgers are chili, patty melt, teriyaki mushroom and veggie burger. Several sandwiches are tuna melt, flatbread veggie melt, BLT, French dip, open-faced hot roast beef with mashed potatoes and barbecue pulled pork. Popular breakfast selections are banana nut French toast, flapjacks, Skillets (Santa Fe, Meat Lovers), four-egg omelets and chicken fried steak with two eggs, hash browns and toast or biscuit. For those 55 or older, there are senior breakfasts, dinners, sandwiches and wraps (California, Mediterranean chicken, Western chicken). Omelets begin at $8.29, and dinner entrees start at $11.99. Lumberjacks is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. — Jack Bulavsky
