PICK OF THE WEEK:
ROSA’S TACO SHOP
9400 S. Eastern Ave., 702-834-7300
Not all tacos are created equal. So when you have one of Rosa’s tacos, you know you’re enjoying a taco that was created way above equal. Her beef, pork, chicken and fish tacos are large and full of flavor and can be made into combination plates with cheese enchiladas, bean tostadas or beef burritos. The plates come with freshly made rice and beans. Other plates include beef tamales, chile relleno, camarones a la diabla (spicy shrimp), beef or chicken chimichanga, camarones rancheros and chorizo or carnitas plate. Among the sides are beef or chicken quesadilla, tortilla chips with guacamole and cheese, super nachos and shrimp cocktail. Featured large burritos are machaca, chorizo, breakfast, fish, California, shrimp, and bean and cheese. Beef or chicken chimichangas are filled with beans and cheese and topped with guacamole, sour cream and cheese. Popular tortas (sandwiches) are beef, pork, carne asada, chicken and chorizo. There are tostadas (bean, beef, chicken), enchiladas (cheese, beef, chicken) and a hearty taco salad. Menudo is served Saturdays only. Tacos begin at $2.05, and combination plates start at $5.25. Rosa’s is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. — Jack Bulavsky
