The Blind Pig
Inside Panorama Towers, 4515 Dean Martin Drive at West Harmon Avenue, 702-430-4444
During Prohibition, a speakeasy was called a “blind pig” to hide it from the police. This Blind Pig has nothing to hide. It is a combination restaurant and market where chef John Alers is serving artisanal food to be enjoyed inside or on the patio. Breakfast offers three-egg omelets with Lyonnaise potatoes, bagels and lox, Greek yogurt with granola and berries, brioche French toast, griddlecakes (blueberry, banana-walnut) and smoothies such as Peanut Powerhouse, Crazy Carrot, Green Revolution and Mango Madness. Popular sandwiches are chicken ciabatta, roast turkey club, pastrami Reuben, vegan burger and shrimp and lobster roll on toasted hot dog bun. Among the salads are Blind Pig Chopped, chicken Caesar, Ahi Tuna Asian Crunch with cabbage, red onion, rice noodles, bell peppers and soy-peanut dressing, and mozzarella Caprese. Featured entrees include seared salmon, shrimp and lobster mac n’ cheese, steak frites, oven-roasted chicken with cheddar grits and greens, and hand-tossed pizzas such as margherita, barbecue chicken, Pig Crazy (pepperoni, ham, bacon, sausage) and gluten-free tomato. Several appetizers are crispy pork nuggets, poutine (crinkle-cut fries, cheese curds, gravy) and turkey quesadilla. Sandwiches begin at $7. The Blind Pig is open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The bar/lounge opens at 5 p.m.
