DINING: Pie Day and St. Paddy’s

In honor of Pie Day — Sunday, which is 3/14 (like pi, 3.14; get it?) — local Marie Callender’s restaurants are offering a free piece of pie with the purchase of an entree.
Also participating in Pie Day is Morton’s the Steakhouse, 400 E. Flamingo Road, which is offering its Key lime pie for $3.14. ...
McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, 335 Hughes Center Drive, will host its 11th annual St. Paddy’s Day party beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday (March 17). A valid Taxi Authority card is required.
Hash House A Go Go at 6800 W. Sahara Ave. will host its second annual corned-beef-eating contest at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Aspiring contestants must enter at www.kwnr.com or at the restaurant. First prize is $100 and breakfast at the restaurant once a week for a year; second and third prizes also will be awarded.
Hash House A Go Go also will serve Irish-themed food and beverages throughout the day, including a St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Charms pancake, stuffed corned beef sandwich, Irish coffee, Irish Snakebite and more. Happy hour at the Sahara location will run from 4 to 6 p.m. with $2 green beer and free mini-corned-beef sandwiches and housemade potato chips, and the first 50 people who arrive for happy hour will get their first beer free. ...
