 Paying your income taxes might leave a disagreeable taste in your mouth, but two local businesses are attempting to sweeten the process just a little.
  Participating mall-based Cinnabon locations are giving away two free bite-sized cupcakes to anyone who comes in between 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (April 15). There are four flavors to choose from — classic cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and carrot.
  And P.F. Chang’s locations are offering a 15 percent discount on food and nonalcoholic beverages on Thursday. ...
  Sonrisa Grill at the Village at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson will celebrate its two-year anniversary on Saturday (April 10) with a free margarita and free hors d’oeuvres for those who come in for dinner. The offer is good from 4 to 7 p.m.; festivities and live music will continue until midnight and Jazz on the Lake is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. ...
  Dine to Donate, a fundraiser for Community Lutheran Church’s annual medical mission trip to El Salvador, is scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday (April 11) at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza at 4300 E. Sunset Road in Henderson. Twenty percent of all purchases will be donated to the mission, which aids more than 1,000 people in El Salvador. ...
  Whole Foods Markets in the Las Vegas Valley have scheduled cooking demonstrations and tastings with MGM Grand chefs in the upcoming weeks. Stephane Chevet of Shibuya will demonstrate traditional modern Japanese on April 15 at the store at 8855 W. Charleston Blvd. (254-8655), Noel Santos of Diego will focus on Mexican cuisine on April 20 at the store at 6689 Las Vegas Blvd. South (589-7711) and the topic of Joshua Crain of Nobhill Tavern will be “classic tavern flair” on April 29 at the store at 7250 W.
