Dita Von Teese doesn’t miss ‘being hogtied and ball-gagged’

Just because Dita Von Teese is a burlesque dancer and fetish model, this doesn’t mean she’s into weird sexual fetishes, she says.

“I don’t have a strong, true, hardcore sexual fetish for anything in particular,” she tells me.

Years ago, she did do some S&M-type fetish modeling with three photographers she trusted. But it wasn’t her thing.

“I’m not like, ‘I really miss being hogtied and ball-gagged.’ That was part of my job, and I like playing the damsel in distress, and I enjoyed it. But it’s not like, ‘Ew, I really wish I were doing THAT every day still.”

Von Teese is in Las Vegas this week to guest-dance Wednesday-April 7 in MGM’s female-sexy, nude-revue “Crazy Horse Paris.” (Female-sexy in a Euro way, as opposed to strip-club, male sexy.)

Her fans are largely women, many who love stylish eroticism, or who love to play dress-up, or who love red lipstick, or who are happy to have an alternative role model to supermodels, she says.

“They’re happy to have another someone else standing up for those of us who don’t just get out of bed and look perfect.

“We love sex as much as anyone else. We love things that titillate us. But we do like it a little bit candy coated sometimes -- some of us.”
