Dunhill to debut new homes today
April 30, 2011 - 1:17 am
Today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dunhill Homes will celebrate the grand opening of 13 new floor plans with six fully decorated model homes at its Tuscany Village master-planned community in Henderson.
The public is invited to join the festivities, which include tours of the new homes, energy-efficiency demonstrations and refreshments including specialty grilled cheese sandwiches from the Muncheeze gourmet food truck. The builder will also hold a drawing for guests to win a new Apple iPad2.
Dunhill Homes' new Tuscany Village floor plans range from 1,215 to 2,646 square feet and include as many as five bedrooms and as many as 3½ baths. Prices start in the low $100,000s. For a limited time, the builder is offering incentives as much as $7,500 to be applied toward options with homes purchased during the grand opening.
According to Dunhill Homes' director of sales Ryan Soucie, the new plan designs incorporate ideas and feedback that were obtained over the past year from consumer focus groups and consultations with contemporary home design experts to suit the way homebuyers live today.
"The floor plan designs incorporate not only the space we need in our homes and garages for storage, but also energy-efficiency elements unmatched by nearly every new-home community in Southern Nevada," he said.
All 13 new floor plans at Tuscany Village are certified by both Energy Star and NV Energy's Energy Plus program.
"These energy-efficient homes are important not only because they preserve our natural resources, but also because by meeting the high design standards necessary to obtain these certifications, the cost of operating these homes is significantly lower due to lower energy bills," Soucie said.
"NV Energy's Energy Plus and Energy Star certifications show that we are building these homes to exceed the energy efficiency of a home built to meet but not exceed code by at least 30 percent.
"In other words, they are 30 percent more efficient than a home built today that just meets code. In comparison to resale homes built five to 10 years ago, these homes can be as high as 70 percent more energy efficient.
"We have made energy efficiency a top priority when designing our new plans at Tuscany Village," Soucie said. "We know this will add value to your home for many years in savings to our resources as well as your monthly budget."
The homes incorporate many of the latest in energy-saving innovations, including radiant-barrier roofs, tankless water heaters and high-performance dual-pane low-e argon gas vinyl windows.
"These fantastically energy-efficient and thoughtfully designed homes are available in both single and two-story designs," sales agent Marietta Manayan said. "We have seen two plans emerge as early favorites -- Plan 1810 in the new Roma series and Plan 1751 in the new Verona series."
Plan 1810 is one of the most flexible new homes at Tuscany Village, with as many as three bedrooms, as many as 2½ baths and up to a three-car garage in a single-story plan.
"Flexibility and options are two things we paid close attention to when designing our new homes, and they are both abundantly available in The Plan 1810," Manayan said. "The home office can be built as a third bedroom, there are two master bath configurations available, a two or three car garage is available and both a powder room and fireplace can be added."
Plan 1751 in the Verona series is a two-story home with three bedrooms,2½ baths and a two-car garage with bonus storage space. This flexible home includes options for a covered patio and media niche on the first floor.
"It also includes a spacious owner's suite with room for a sitting area as well as an expansive walk-in closet," Manayan said.
"And because we know that closet space is important in the way we live now, many Tuscany Village homes including Plan 1751 have walk-in closets in secondary bedrooms."
Homebuyers of the new plans at Tuscany Village will have full access to the community's luxury amenities.
"Resort style living is available right here in Henderson," said Manayan. Residents at Tuscany Village enjoy a guard-gated entrance, multimillion dollar recreation center, Strip and mountain views, an award-winning golf course and dozens of indoor and outdoor amenities.
A centerpiece is the 35,000-square-foot La Vita Tuscana recreation center, which includes a lap pool, swimming pool, tennis courts and racquetball courts in addition to an aerobics room, indoor and outdoor basketball, arts and crafts rooms, billiards, conference rooms, social areas and park areas.
The Tuscany Golf Club was designed by renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson Jr. The 6,906-yard, par-72 course has been named Golf Magazine's No. 1 golf course in Las Vegas.
To visit Tuscany Village, take Lake Mead Drive in Henderson heading east. Follow the signs to the community and turn left on Mohawk Drive to the main entrance.
