Energy efficiency of Pulte’s Palm Hills designs allows big move, bigger space

Pam and Gary Boersma ended their search for a home for their family of four at Palm Hills, a Pulte neighborhood located in the southeastern Las Vegas Valley.

They purchased the 3799 plan, named for its square footage. The home is greater in size than the valley residence they had been leasing.

"We had been looking for a smaller home because of the cost of utilities," Pam Boersma said. "After we found Palm Hills, we realized we could actually have a larger home and still have our utilities cost less."

The two-story home includes formal dining and living rooms, a great room and three-car garage. Prices start from $519,990.

Three two-story floor plans range from 3,799 to 4,378 square feet. They contain as many as six bedrooms and four baths with three-car garages and game rooms. Prices start from the lower $500,000s.

Pulte homes are constructed with Environments for Living technology. They include blown-in cellulose insulation and dual-pane, vinyl-framed low-e windows.

Additionally, Pulte Homes offers its Signature Standards, which includes brand-name amenities as standard features, such as Corian solid surface countertops, York heating and air conditioning systems, Mohawk flooring, Sherwin-Williams paint, Moen faucets, Kohler plumbing fixtures, GE appliances, Schlage door hardware, Sea Gull lighting and Zodiaq natural quartz surfaces.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Horizon Drive and turn right, then left on Horizon Ridge Parkway. The guard-gated entrance to the community is on Voltaire Avenue.
