Ensign on jobless numbers: “Policies out of DC have failed our state”

Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., reacting to new high of 14.4 percent unemployment in the state, said in a statement:

“The newest record unemployment rate for Nevada once again underlines that the policies coming out of Washington have failed the people of our state.

“While the majority party in Washington continues to write blank checks for an ineffective agenda, people across our state continue to wonder when our economy will finally start to improve.  It’s time for Washington to get its act together by passing policies that will get our private sector back on track to job creation, or Nevada will continue to break a new unemployment rate record each month.”
