“Ensign’s High Rollers” take first in Senate run

"Ensign's High Rollers," a team consisting of Sen. John Ensign and staffers for him and Sen. Harry Reid, finished first among Senate squads in a 3-mile run for charity along the Potomac River on Wednesday.

The annual ACLI Capital Challenge to benefit the District of Columbia Special Olympics draws crowds of runners from Capitol Hill, the federal agencies and the local media.

Ensign's time this year was 20:52, which was 42 seconds slower than last year. Ensign special assistant J.T. Newcomb finished first among Senate aides, at 16:26.
