Ensign’s Iowa trip

The announcement a few weeks ago that Sen. John Ensign would be making a trip to Iowa set tongues wagging that he was laying the groundwork for an eventual presidential run.

Now the trip is taking shape. The American Future Fund just put out the details of Ensign's schedule during the June 1 trip, which concludes with an evening speech in Sioux City.

The same group has put some of its energy behind an anti-Harry Reid campaign, "Watchin' Reid." But Ensign, who maintains a close friendship with Reid, isn't likely to help out with that effort.

Here's Ensign's Iowa itinerary for June 1:
