Ensign’s marital indiscretion II
Here's some unsolicited (but very good) advice for Sen. John Ensign, who yesterday admitted to an affair from December 2007 until August 2008 with the wife of a staff member, who also happens to be his best friend.
If there is any more to the "story" -- and I mean any more -- then it's best to get it out now. Get it confessed and move on. As I said in the previous post, which was written minutes after the affair was confirmed, I like John as a person and as a senator. I think Nevada voters will forgive his human frailty and re-elect him.
I don't know that there is any more to the story. I hope not. But if there is, it is best to get it out sooner rather than later.
At the risk of being too blunt, I pass along this advice from a former boss of mine who used to say: "If you have to eat a ---- sandwich, take big bites."
