ENTERTAINMENT: Going through ‘Menopause’ again
"Menopause the Musical" will reconvene at the Luxor on May 26, not two months after it wrapped more than 1,500 performances at the Las Vegas Hilton.
The campy musical about "the change" will share space with Carrot Top and the nonmenopausal women of “Fantasy.” It will reopen with “America’s Got Talent” singer Queen Emily, who came on near the end of the Hilton stretch as the title’s first-ever billed star, as well as Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” who performed without special billing in the Hilton run.
The show will be at 5:30 p.m. except on Tuesday and other nights Carrot Top is off, when it goes at 8 p.m. The 5:30 p.m. start pushes the definition of “afternoon show” about as far as it will go, well into the dinner hour for the show's target audience.
