ENTERTAINMENT: ‘Striptease’ show takes a break

The topless revue “Striptease: The Show” is taking what its producer calls a “hiatus,” with plans to return March 15.

The show opened in late September but called a timeout after Thursday’s performance. “We’re going to do some restructuring,” producer Jim Hayek says, both in the content of the show and in its marketing and backstage labor costs. “We do run lean but it can be a little better,” he says of the show’s overhead.

Hayek said he is meeting with hotel officials on Monday. “Maybe it could straighten out pretty quickly,” he says of the revue hosted by Taya Parker of Penthouse and “Rock of Love” fame.
