Executive appointed to NAIOP’s local chapter

Jackson-Shaw, a national, diversified commercial real estate development and investment company, has announced the appointment of Las Vegan Ralph Murphy to the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties 2008 National Executive Committee. Murphy will serve as secretary and vice chairman of information and research.

"We are extremely proud to have a member of our chapter serving on the national executive committee," said John Restrepo, president of the Southern Nevada Chapter of NAIOP. "Ralph's involvement in the commercial real estate industry and his contributions to NAIOP have dramatically strengthened the organization. We congratulate him on this great honor."

The executive committee consists of the 11 officers. In his role, Murphy will oversee the information and research activities of the association, by serving on the steering committees for NAIOP's biannual compensation report and for a special publication that will focus on key aspects of running a real estate development company.

Murphy, senior vice president of Jackson-Shaw for Western region development, is responsible for creating and directing office and industrial development opportunities in Southern Nevada, Arizona and Southern California.

He has previously served NAIOP as president of the Inland Empire and the Southern Nevada chapters and is the recipient of the 2007 National Award for Outstanding Leadership by a Chapter President.

Jackson-Shaw, which is headquartered in Dallas has more than 37 years of experience in the development of diversified real estate properties. The company has completed more than 38 million square feet of development since its founding in 1971.

Today, Jackson-Shaw focuses its development activity on a variety of project types, including office, industrial, mixed use, hospitality and residential.
