Experience Summerlin showcases community

Experience Summerlin, a month-long promotion showcasing the lifestyle of the community, is offering 30 giveaways in October.

Entry boxes are located throughout Summerlin at new home sales offices as well as other locations. Entry forms will be collected at the end of October and winners will be notified in early November. A list of locations is available at experiencesummerlin.com.

"We've partnered with several of Summerlin's most popular restaurants, shops and entertainment venues to offer a uniquely Summerlin experience," said Nikkole Liesse, marketing director for Summerlin.

"Summerlin boasts more amenities than any other Southern Nevada community. This event is a fun way to show off the legendary Summerlin lifestyle while allowing others to experience a day in the life of a Summerlin resident -- at no cost. It's a wonderful opportunity we hope valley residents will enjoy."

The giveaways, valued at more than $4,000, include a spa/fitness membership, spa treatment, dining packages and a one-night stay in a suite from JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa at Summerlin; spa, dining and entertainment packages from Red Rock Casino Resort Spa; one-night stay at Element by Westin; private Pilates sessions by Core Fit; a round of golf for two from Bear's Best Las Vegas; two tickets to The Nutcracker from Nevada Ballet Theatre; Friends of Red Rock Canyon membership and annual passes to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area from Friends of Red Rock Canyon.

Other giveaways include a birthday package from Art Starts Here; a one-hour Summerlin Sam appearance by Celebrate Kids; dining options from Vintner Grill, Café Bleu and Agave; a family four- pack of tickets to see the King and I at the Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center, compliments of Signature Productions; a community cooking class from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas and a private tennis lesson from the Summerlin Tennis Club.

"From swanky dining and spa options to tennis lessons, cooking classes and cultural events, Summerlin truly has it all," Liesse said.

A calendar of events is included online including Ragnar Relay, RTC Viva Bike Vegas, the Justin Timberlake Shiners Hospital for Children Open at TPC Summerlin, the Summerlin Desert Clean-up, Red Rock Make a Difference Day and other social, recreational and educational events.

"There is definitely not a shortage of activity in Summerlin," Liesse said.

"Summerlin residents are generally active, healthy and outgoing people, so it follows that the community calendar reflects that attitude."
