Extend your vacation, Mr. President, the economy needs it
It's tempting to point to the story this morning about the weakened U.S. housing market hitting a 15-year low and draw a line to that bad news to the fact that President Obama is on his ninth freakin' vacation of his presidency.
But I won't, because the longer Obama stays on vacation the better the country is economically. The only thing better will come when the balance of power in Congress is hopefully taken away from Democrats, the policies of which have prolonged and deepened the recession.
So, please, extend your vacation, Mr. President. Maybe take one or two of those foreign trips you love so much. Do anything but return to Washington and make the country take more of your economic medicine. Your cure is worse than the disease.
