Family buys third car from Findlay VW

Longtime Southern Nevada residents Richard and Angela Testa are loyal customers of Findlay Volkswagen in the Valley Automall. They recently purchased their third car from the dealership.

They bought a 2013 VW Jetta for their 17-year-old daughter, Gabriella.

The Testa family has also bought a 2009 Jetta and a 2009 Tiguan from Findlay Volkswagen, 983 Auto Show Drive.

"I just got my license on Dec. 20," said Gabriella, a Liberty High School student who wants to be an ophthalmologist. "This is my first car and I couldn't be happier. It's new and I don't have to worry about problems related to repairs with my new car. The fact that my parents helped me was very important.

"The Jetta has a classic look to it," she added. "The interior is beautiful and it has tinted windows."

Richard Testa and his son, Jordan, left the Maaco Bowl at San Boyd Stadium at halftime to complete the car purchase in time to give as a Christmas gift.

"We are sports fanatics," Richard Testa said while watching the game on television at the dealership. "We wanted to surprise Gabriella with her Christmas present. We were six rows up in the end zone."

The Jetta is powered by a four-cylinder engine, and is rated for 25 city and 29 highway mpg.

"We put her in a Jetta because of the safety of the vehicle," said Richard Testa, a clinical supervisor at Siems Lasik Eye Center in Las Vegas. "We love the service we get from Findlay and especially the maintenance-free warranty that is included in the purchase.

"We reviewed different dealerships before we bought here," he said. "We looked at other models including Mercedes and Mini Cooper and came back here."

Findlay Volkswagen is part of Findlay Automotive Group, which was founded more than 40 years ago by the late Pete Findlay, whose son, Cliff Findlay, now spearheads new and preowned dealerships in Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Idaho. The dealership is led by General Manager Jim Krumme.
