Father, son choose Hampton Glen

When Jamiel Rashdan started shopping for a home a year ago in the Providence master-planned community in the northwestern valley, his options were vast: 7,000 homes constructed by 15 builders in 30 separate neighborhoods.

After months of looking and comparing, Rashdan selected a residence in Lennar's Hampton Glen neighborhood for himself and his 5-year-old son Jordan.

With so many reputable builders at Providence, the bar was set very high, Rashdan said. At the end of the day, he decided that Hampton Glen best suited his needs while offering good value.

Lennar's policy of providing valuable upgrades in the base price ultimately helped him make his decision, Rashdan said.

"If I had to choose one thing that made my Lennar home stand out from the rest, it would have to be the quality upgrades included in my home," he said. "My kitchen came with GE stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops and custom wood cabinetry. I have upgraded faucets, blinds, and energy-saving features I appreciate on a daily basis, especially with the hotter weather approaching. Everything I wanted was already where it needed to be, and there was nothing left to do but enjoy my home."

Providing a safe and stimulating environment for his son figured prominently in Rashdan's decision.

"Being a single father of a 5-year-old, I wanted to buy a home in a community that offered varied fun and safe amenities for our active lifestyle," Rashdan said. "Providence will have soccer fields, water parks, walking trails and playgrounds throughout the master-planned community. All of these amenities are important not only for our home but to our lifestyle. Hampton Glen and other Lennar Communities such as Westminster, Barrington, and Arbor Ridge are centrally located in Providence so we have easy access to everything Providence has to offer.

"My son Jordan loves riding his bike to the park nearby. I work long hours and it's great to have so much so close. It gives Jordan and I the opportunity to spend more quality time together and make the most of our weekdays together," Rashdan said. "Plus, I don't have to spend my time driving all over town to find fun things to do. It's all right here."

Located in the booming foothills of northwestern Las Vegas, Hampton Glen and Providence provide access to many new restaurants and shops.

Lennar was a natural choice for Rashdan and his son because Rashdan is an Internet new home consultant for Lennar.

Some might call his decision to buy a Lennar home a matter of loyalty to his employer, but Rashdan said he sees it quite differently.

"I had many choices since this is a buyer's market. I truly believe in what we build and I know its value. At the end of the day, I feel so strongly about what Lennar represents that I bought this home. I guess you could say I voted with my wallet. I'm glad not only for myself, but also because it's a great home in a terrific community to raise my son."

Since its founding more than 50 years ago, Lennar has grown to become one of the nation's leading home builders. With hundreds of neighborhoods around the country and product offerings designed for first-time, move-up and luxury home buyers, Lennar has carved out a niche for itself that's defined by the company's motto: Everything You Want, Everything You Need, That's the Logic of Lennar.
