Finally, fellow small people, the president looks good

President Barack Obama finally has found someone who in comparison makes him look good.

BP chairman Carl-Henric Svanberk took the mic after meeting with the president this morning and said: "We care about the small people. Big oil company people think we don't care, we do care about the small people."

Small people? Jeez. I know there's a language barrier and all, but that was bad.

The president isn't much better. His speech last night was nothing short of a disaster. He's received round criticism from the left and the right. In fact, a new poll shows that the people of Louisiana now say that George Bush handled Katrina BETTER than Obama's handling the gulf oil crisis.

You can bet that this is why the president is putting on the full court press today. Handling the oil spill worse than Bush handled Katrina is not how this president wants to be remembered.

But, that's the truth and I don't think he's going to be able to convince the people otherwise. Unless of course he can talk Svanberk to speak right after him from now on.
