First Inspirada family praises home

James Groves, who relocated from Orlando, Fla., chose a home at the Inspirada master-planned community in Henderson for him and his family.

"We took our time looking for a home because we wanted to find the right place to raise our sons," said Groves, who with his wife Kellie, have two boys: Charles, 11, and William, 10.

"The concept of being able to walk everywhere and not have to rely on our car was very appealing. Our house is only a block away from a park and pool, so there is recreation nearby. And we have so much to look forward to as the neighborhood continues to grow."

The family purchased a 2,121-square-foot Village Home from KB that features three bedrooms and 21/2 baths.

"Both Kellie and I agreed that it was refreshing to see a street lined with homes that had their own character, without stucco, that did not mirror the home next door," James Groves said. "We had not seen this variety in other places we looked. The house is just the right size for our whole family, including our two dogs Jack and Basil."

The community will feature seven villages, each with its own theme, such as music, art or athletics. Each village will be anchored by a central park. Civic amenities such as schools, police and fire stations are interwoven throughout the community, and a town center will contain restaurants, cafes, retail shops and entertainment venues.

Inspirada measures 2,000 acres and will incorporate 300 acres of trails and parks, including three community parks, six neighborhood parks and 22 miles of trail systems. Surrounding the open spaces and parks will be 13,500 homes.

Five home styles are available, each with customizing options.

The Estate Homes, which range from 2,200 to 4,400 square feet, are available in one or two stories and feature open balconies, wraparound porches, casitas, backyards and recessed two and three-car garages with porte cocheres. Select models provide additional living quarters for guests.

Village Homes are also available in one or two stories, and range from 1,900 to 3,500 square feet. Amenties include front porches with arched or covered entries.

The two-story Garden Homes range from 1,350 to 2,000 square feet and feature front landscaped paseos.

City Homes are available in two- or three-story floor plans ranging from 1,400 to 2,800 square feet. Design options include individual stoops.

Mansion Homes consist of four residences grouped together under one roof with the external appearance of one home. Individual units range from 1,400 to 1,700 square feet and include wraparound porches, private balconies and patios and a shared private motor court with hidden two-car garages.

To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, exit on Eastern Avenue and head south to St. Rose Parkway. Turn west to Starr/Executive Airport Road and turn south. Follow the signs to the community entrance.

The information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
