First-time home buyer finds nest at York Village

First-time home buyer, Sarah Sheehan says she found the "perfect fit" when she bought a new home at York Village by Warmington Homes Nevada, where prices begin from the $200,000s.

The seven-year Las Vegas resident and executive for the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino said she visited many other communities in the area.

"In addition to the ideal pricing and location, the homes included so many luxurious amenities and charming architectural details such as front porches, columns and beautiful stonework that I immediately knew I wanted to live here," she said.

Sheehan purchased a home in the first phase and recently moved into a Plan Three.

The neighborhood offers three two-story, single-family floor plans that range from 1,234 to 1,426 square feet. They include two or three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and direct-access garages.

The interiors feature living and dining rooms, kitchens with Whirlpool appliances and oak cabinetry with adjustable upper shelves, laundry areas with optional overhead storage cabinets and one or more master bedroom suites with walk-in closets.

The homes are accented with shutters, front porch entries, landscaped front yards and private rear yards.

The homes are Energy Star-certified, with many energy-rated amenities included in the price of the home.

Some of these upgrades are heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems and Milgard low-e windows.

Residents will have exclusive access to a community pool, cabana and play and picnic area.

The community association manages all upkeep of facilities and landscaping.

York Village is centrally located within the southwestern portion of the Las Vegas Valley and is in proximity to to a variety of new residential neighborhoods, shopping centers, new parks, schools and Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway.
