A former Boy Scout pleaded guilty Wednesday to the murder of his former troop leader, who he said in a court confession raped and sexually assaulted him over multiple years.
Clark Fredericks, in a New Jersey court, claimed that Boy Scout leader and Sussex sheriff’s officer Dennis Pegg raped him and his best friend Jeff when they were children, NBC New York reported. He said Jeff committed suicide in 1983.
“From the time I was 8 years old until I was 12, I was sexually assaulted and raped by Dennis Pegg,” Fredericks said.
Fredericks and a friend went to Pegg’s home in 2012 after drinking and snorting cocaine and Fredericks stabbed him repeatedly, police said.
“I started stabbing Dennis,” Fredericks said in court. “I said, ‘How does it feel raping little kids now. It’s not so fun raping little kids now, is it?’ At the end I slit his throat.”
Fredericks faces a maximum of 5 to 10 years when he is sentenced in August.
