Former Nellis commander backing Reid
The re-election campaign of Sen. Harry Reid said today it has the endorsement of Col. Howard D. Belote, the recently retired commander of the 99th Air Base Wing at Nellis Air Force Base.
In a statement put out by the campaign, Belote said Reid has done a good job watching out for Nellis and for the Fallon Naval Air Station.
Additionally, "Sen. Reid prevented the closure of the Hawthorne Army Depot and the realignment of the Nevada Air National Guard," Belote said. "Most important to me, he supported veterans and families with improved health care and education benefits."
