Four families choose Pardee
August 18, 2007 - 9:00 pm
Four-year-old Anthony Bacallao is the youngest of four generations who have recently settled into the Sierra neighborhood in Pardee Homes' Sunrise Highlands. In addition to his parents, Jorge and Yanet Bacallao, Anthony has an aunt and uncle, grandparents and his great grandfather all living in the same neighborhood.
"We love it here," Yanet Bacallao said. "We liked the area near Sunrise Mountain to begin with and then we saw Pardee's models and decided this was going to be our new home."
Other family members agreed, as well as a close friend who had been the family's doctor in their native Cuba who is now living nearby in an Arrowhead home.
"The view of Las Vegas from our home is absolutely gorgeous," Yanet Bacallao said. "In fact, lots of people drive up here at night just to see the view."
Bacallao, a certified restorative nursing assistant, her husband, a Caesars Palace food and beverage executive, and Anthony live in a two-story Sierra Residence Five. Her brother Pedro Hernandez and his wife, Yarelisse Flores, also live in a Plan Five. Yanet's father, Jose Hernandez, her mother, Natalia Bengochea, and her grandfather Odon Bengochea live in the Residence Three.
Several extended families are building their own family foundations within Sunrise Highlands, according to Pardee regional sales director Rob Tuvell.
"Because of variety, affordability and location, Sunrise Highlands at Sunrise Mountain has consistently been among the best-selling in the company's Southern Nevada collection of new home communities," Tuvell said.
"Sunrise Highlands features some of the most reasonably priced homes in this market in one of the best locations for families of all sizes," Tuvell said. "The community rises above the valley at the eastern edge of town, giving a panoramic view of the city below and Sunrise Mountain behind."
Sunrise Highlands currently offers homes priced from $275,450 at Arrowhead; from $297,950 at Sierra and from $391,950 at Crestline.
Arrowhead features four flexible one- and two-story floor plans with up to four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, optional lofts and dens in 1,340 to 2,070 square feet. The homes of Sierra feature up to four bedrooms and three baths in 1,431 to 2,439 square feet in four one- and two-story floor plans. Options include lofts, dens, retreats and bonus rooms. Crestline offers one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,628 to 3,671 square feet with up to seven bedrooms and three baths.
Sunrise Highlands is close to community amenities, including the new Hollywood Regional Park at Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.
