Friendly Ford to host ‘Race’ auditions

Fans of CBS’ “The Amazing Race” can audition for the show at Friendly Ford, 660 N. Decatur Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday .

“The Amazing Race” has aired since 2001, and has earned 14 Emmy Awards. In the reality game show, teams compete in a race around the world, facing numerous tasks, challenges and obstacles along the way.

“This will be the second time we’ve hosted auditions for ‘The Amazing Race’,” Friendly Ford General Manager Jason Davis said. “It’s a quality show that’s fun to watch, and you learn a lot about other cultures. There are a lot of ‘Amazing Race’ fans in Las Vegas who would love the opportunity to try out for the show.”

All contestants must be citizens and residents of the United States and must be in excellent physical and mental health.

Contestants must bring photo identification and a completed video release and waiver that they can get on the Friendly Ford or KLAS-TV, Channel 8 websites before the auditions. Auditioners will have one minute in front of the camera.
