Friendly Ford TV’s ‘Survivor’ auditions draw more than 200

Last month, more than 200 people for audition for spots on the CBS-TV reality series “Survivor” at Friendly Ford.

At least one resident brought his camping chairs to the dealership at 2:45 a.m. to ensure his place at the front of the line. The auditions began at 9 a.m. Prospective contestants from all over the United States, including North Carolina, New York and California, came to Friendly Ford in hopes that they would be chosen to compete on “Survivor.”

One contestant flew to Las Vegas from San Francisco, paying $500 on airfare for the opportunity. The production company will hold the recorded auditions for one year.

“Madness, sheer madness,” said Friendly Ford general manager Jason Davis. “So many different people from so many different walks of life came and auditioned at Friendly Ford. This was fun!”
