‘Georgia Nicolson’ series laugh-out-loud funny

Louise Rennison perfectly captures the teen spirit in my all-time favorite series, “Confessions of Georgia Nicolson.”
Everyone can relate to Georgia. She has bad hair days, like the time she accidentally shaved off one of her eyebrows. She also makes fashion faux pas, like showing up at a costume party dressed as a huge green olive.
Georgia spends most of her time obsessing over her nose, torturing the school groundskeeper, and trying to become the girlfriend of a “Sex God.”
The whole series is written in the form of Georgia’s diary and she gives a first-person account of her daily life. The stories are full of humor and she often inserts her own slang. The book includes a glossary in the back.
Despite the fact that Georgia comes off as a vain teenager, she has more depth and personality than most.
Rennison has written a series that will keep any reader entertained. The only warning I have is that because of all of the “hilariosity,” as Georgia would put it, don’t read it in public.
