Give Democrats a checkbook and …

We gave Democrats the checkbook and they spent ... and spent and spent.

Then they spent some more.

Now it comes time to pass a budget ... and what are Democrat leaders thinking about doing?

Not doing a budget, of course.

Seriously? Just when you thought this fiscal irresponsibility couldn't get any worse.

Read this story from The Hill on the topic which begins:

"The chance that the majority Democrats will pass a budget this year is 'fading,' Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) said Tuesday.

"He is pessimistic because House Democrats don’t know whether they want to pass a resolution that would officially acknowledge the certainty of big deficits. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and other Democrats have indicated that would be a tough vote in an election year. "

I can offer you no encouragement regarding this national economic nightmare at this point other than to "Think November."
