GLVAR to hold blood drive Monday

Members and staff of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors, along with representatives from United Blood Services, will hold a blood drive Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the organization's office, 1750 E. Sahara Ave. in classroom B.

Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling the GLVAR at 784-5000. Donors will receive a voucher from Cold Stone Creamery for a free "love it" size creation.

According to United Blood Services officials, more than 400 pints of blood are needed to get through the summer, especially from people with type O negative blood.

GLVAR was founded in 1947 and provides its more than 17,000 local members with education, training and political representation. GLVAR, the local representative of the National Association of Realtors, is the largest professional organization in Southern Nevada.
