Go, Elfman, go!

I've been a fan of Doug Elfman's work on the Las Vegas entertainment scene for a long time.

He's a solid reporter and writer with passion and just the right amount of quirk to cover the new and emerging Las Vegas entertainment scene.

When he came back to the Review-Journal after a stint in the Chicago newspaper world, I told him that Las Vegas still had all the big names and concerts, but something new was happening on the club level and we needed someone to report it. I didn't understand this new entertainment world, so I told him that when he wrote a column that I didn't "get," he'd be on the right track.

Last night I received a Tweet on his newest blog item. It read:

"@rjblogs: DOUG ELFMAN: Your Clubby Vegas Weekend-Rebecca & Fiona, Wolfgang Gartner, Gareth Emery, Big Boi, more."

I think I can safely say: Mission accomplished.
