GOP ‘stalks’ Rep. Berkley

The word "stalks" is how the Democrat-friendly Nevada media initially described the GOP e-mail and video below.

Funny thing though, when Democrats do this kind of opposition deal to a Republican, the words used to describe the effort are more like "exposed" or "uncovers" or "catches."

Just a point to remember. Here's the item for your edification.

NRSC Launches Web Ad Against Shelley Berkley: “Actions Speak Louder Than Words”

Berkley Claims Every Weekend She Goes Home, But Last Weekend She Was In NYC

WASHINGTON – The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released its first web ad against Las Vegas Congresswoman Shelley Berkley, who claims she goes home “every weekend” to connect with struggling Nevadans.

As it turns out, the 12-year Congresswoman from Las Vegas doesn’t go home every weekend, because last weekend Berkley -- who was born in Brooklyn -- went to New York City to raise money from trial lawyers. Between hobnobbing with her liberal pals, who are busy suing resorts in Las Vegas, Berkley also found some time to do a little shopping at Saks 5th Avenue.

Meanwhile, back in Nevada where the unemployment rate is 12.1 percent, more Nevadans are signing up for food stamps and the state is still the foreclosure capital of the country.

“Shelley Berkley loves to tell Nevadans she comes home every weekend to listen to their concerns – but obviously that’s not the truth, because she spent last weekend taking campaign cash from liberal trial lawyers at a swanky New York City fundraiser,” said National Republican Senatorial Committee Spokesman (NRSC) Jahan Wilcox. “While Nevadans are suffering from the worst unemployment and highest foreclosure rates in the country, Berkley is an out-of-touch liberal who would rather spend her time filling her campaign coffers with special-interest cash and shopping for luxury items in New York City.”
