Harley-Davidson hosts pet adoptions

Las Vegas Harley-Davidson, 2605 S. Eastern Ave., will host a pet adoption day Saturday from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Nine Clark County pet rescue centers participate in the event to raise awareness and find homes for hundreds of abandoned pets throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

“We were saddened to learn that 30,000 cats and dogs were euthanized in Las Vegas in 2009,” said Randy Compton, event coordinator. “Las Vegas Harley is extremely community-minded and the pet adoption day is another way for us to give back to the community.”

Drawings will be held throughout the day and donors will be eligible for an assortment of door prizes.

“All funds raised during the pet adoption day will be divided equally among the nine participating pet rescue centers. And, if you’re thinking of getting a pet, the pet adoption day is a great time to find one and support a much-needed cause,” Compton said.
